BARRYS' SOLO TOURS

IRISH TOURS

Hi folks, as well as treading the boards with 'SINNERBOY' I also tour Ireland regularly playing the solo acoustic music of (who else!) Rory Gallagher, all your favourites are in the set: 'Pistol Slapper Blues', 'Out on the Western Plain', 'As the Crow Flies' etc, plus acoustic renditions of other Rory material not normally associated with acoustic guitars : 'Moonchild', 'Daughter of the Everglades' etc. Full tour details can be found on the giguide page

WOULD YOU LIKE TO COME?

If you live on this side of the Irish sea you can come on tour with me! and sample the sort of luxury high life I lead (ish!) these tours usually mean sailing overnight on a Tuesday or Wednesday and returning Monday evening. I will take care of all ferry and accommodation bookings (usually B&B's at about 45 euros per person per night)

The cost is £85 per person contribution to the fuel and ferry (which goes a long way to helping me make a living out of this dodgy business) plus the cost of your accommodation which we pay as we go and, of course your Guinness budget! Also includes a free Rory Gallagher tee shirt!

(I cannot include free admission to the gigs as this is usually under the control of the venue management)

All you have to do is to get to Glossop, Derbyshire (unless you live between Glossop, and Anglesey, in which case I could pick you up) and from there we travel in erm, supreme comfort in my ex Postman Pat van! (It's quite comfy actually) If you fancy it, have a look at the tour dates on the giguide and drop me an email

HOUSE CONCERTS

So why, you may (or may not) be asking, don't I do this in England? well I've tried it and nobody turns up to the gigs (big aaaw for Barry) but I have been doing 'house concerts' - If you and a group of Roryfans fancy getting together and having me invade your lounge / barbeque / shed etc, or you'd like a special birthday present for a Rory mad loved one, it's great fun!

My fee for this is £150.00 plus travel expenses at 20p per mile (I live in Glossop, Derbyshire if you want to work this out) and overnight B&B accommodation if necessary. email
